Why have an admissions test?

Not only selection, but above all the identification of talents and an assessment of the compatibility between the vision of the Collegio and that of the family.

How to enroll in the IBDP Admission Test

After attending in the Open Day you need to upload the following documents to the admission platform:

  • Completed IB Application Form and Personal Statement;
  • Copy of the latest available year-end report;
  • Copy of the most recent school evaluation document (if possible, forward the one relating to the current school year).

If the pre-requisites for registering for the test have been assessed positively, you will receive an email notifying you of the test dates

What does the entrance test involve

The candidate will carry out the tests under the supervision of the Admissions Officer, the Principal and the IB Coordinator. The candidates will take some short breaks and will be busy for approximately two hours. Candidates will be required to take three tests, listed below:

1) CEM Cognitive Test (Cambridge Evaluation and Monitoring Centre) with reference to the areas of English, mathematics and logical-spatial (duration approximately 45 minutes);

2) Writing test, in which you are asked to write a short essay chosen from two predefined titles (duration approximately 45 minutes);

3) Interview with the Admission Team (Admission Officer, the Principal and the IB Coordinator), lasting approximately 20 minutes, usually to be carried out on the same day.

How do you prepare for the IB Admission test?

There is no specific preparation. The objective of the test is to evaluate the skills in the various areas, as well as the motivation of the candidates to undertake the IB Diploma Programme.

 

After the test

How are the results communicated?

Within 10 days of the test, through an online meeting set by the Collegio with those in charge of the Admission Office and the Principal of the IBDP, the outcome of the observations is returned to the student and his parents. The tests results will be commented during the interview and cannot be duplicated or forwarded to the family.

Frequently Asked Questions

Priority for enrollment is given to brothers/sisters of alumni/alumnae from within the College and sons/daughters of alumni/alumnae as long as the application registration time is met. Following the completion of the admission process, upon receipt of authorization, enroll within the 5 working days. If all available places have been filled, a ranking is made on the waiting list that takes into account the time required for online application authorization and registration.
