Don Mario Bonsignori
Rector
Born in Bollate on Oct. 15, 1957, Fr. Mario Bonsignori was ordained a priest on June 13, 1987 in Milan Cathedral. After earning his Baccalaureate in the Archiepiscopal Seminary of Milan (Venegono seat) in 1987, he perfected his studies in Rome graduating in Canon Law at the Pontifical Lateran University in 1998.From 1987 to 1995 he was parochial vicar in the parish of St. Anthony Mary Zaccaria in Milan. From 1987 to 1991 he was a collaborator in the archiepiscopal chancery. In 1991 he became attaché to the Office for the Discipline of the Sacraments, a position he held until 2001 when Card. Carlo Maria Martini appointed him head of the Service for the Discipline of the Sacraments. From 1995 to 2002 he was resident with pastoral duties in the Parish of Guardian Angels in Milan. From 1995 to 2007 collaborator of the archiepiscopal delegate of the Ordo Virginum. From 2001 to 2005 he was an ex officio member of the Diocesan Pastoral Council (VI term). From 2001 to 2004 he was an ex officio member by reason of office of the Congregation of the Ambrosian Rite. From 2002 to 2009 he was a consulting member of the Commission for Ecumenism and Dialogue - Christian Ecumenism and Jewish Roots Section. From 2002 to 2022 he was a resident of Precious Blood Parish of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Milan. From 2010 to 2021 he was an area member of the Presbyteral Council, becoming its secretary in May 2020. Since 2021 he has been a lecturer at the Archdiocesan Seminary of Milan. From 2022 to September 2024 he was vicar of the Pastoral Community “Santi Piccoli Martiri Innocenti” in Milan. Since September 2024 he has been vicar of the Pastoral Community “Santi Marta, Maria e Lazzaro” in Milan. Rector of San Carlo College since April 1, 2025.
Carlos Gonzaga

he was born in Milan in 1957, he worked for almost 38 years in banking, initially at Banca d'America e d'Italia which was then acquired by Deutsche Bank. He has spent his career covering various roles in the organization including that of agency director. In 1994 he began his career in the Human Resources Department where from August 2009 to June 2022 he was responsible for Human Resources for Italy of the Deutsche Bank group and was a Management Advisor of Deutsche Bank S.p.A. until January 2023. He also held the role of Board Member of other companies in the group. He also had responsibility for 6 countries in the EMEA Region. Among his external roles, he was Associate Member of the Trade Union and Labor Affairs Committee (CASL) of the Italian Banking Association (ABI), President of the HR Commission of the Association of Foreign Banks in Italy (AIBE), President of the Strategic Orientation Committee of the "EFFEBI - Finance & Banking - Association for Organizational and Resource Development. In the 2015/2016 academic year he led the International Human Resources Management laboratory at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the Catholic University of Milan.Academics leader
Laura Camerini
Preschool Coordinator
An educator since 1999, the year in which she joined the Collegio San Carlo. From 2005 to 2018 she taught in the Primary School. In 2018 she assumed the position of Pedagogical coordinator of the Preschool at Collegio San Carlo.
Anna Asti
Principal Primary and Middle School
A mathematics teacher since 1992 first at the high school then at SS1, she has been involved in research in education and teacher training in various school orders. From 2015 to 2022, she coordinated and chaired the Don Bosco parish school in Paderno Dugnano. She has been at Collegio San Carlo since 2022 also serving as department coordinator. From September 2023, he assumed the position of Vice Rector at Collegio San Carlo, until April 1, 2025 when he assumed the role of Principal of the entire first cycle.
Antonella Sacchi
Principal High Schools
A Literature teacher since 1996, the year in which she joined Collegio San Carlo. From 2010 to 2017, first ViceHeadmaster and then Headmaster of the Social Sciences Diploma Program. In 2017 she became Headmaster of all the Collegio’s Diploma Programs.

Principal IB Diploma Program
CAS Co-ordinator, TOK teacher, university counselling for the IB students and Site Co-ordinator for the SATS. She has been teaching in various capacities since 1994 and she began working at Collegio San Carlo in September 2017

Pro-Rector
Born in Milan in 1959, he is married and has three children. In College since 1987, he has been a Lecturer of Letters in the Liceo Scientifico and Secondary School. Since 1991 also Lecturer of Latin and Greek in the Liceo Classico. Since 1997 he has been Principal of the Secondary School, then of the Primary School and since 2010 of all the High Schools. From 2018 to 2025 he was Headmaster of the First Grade Secondary School and Primary School. As of April 1, 2025 appointed as Pro-Rector.
Giuseppe Calegari

A teacher of English literature and language since 1985. Since 2016 he has been on the faculty at Collegio San Carlo, not only with the title of Deputy Dean, but as Leader of the Pastoral Team.
Felice Verdelli
Vice Rector SS2
A teacher of English language and culture since 1991, Professor Felice Verdelli has been teaching for 26 years at Collegio San Carlo where, in addition to teaching foreign languages in high school classes, he has held various management positions: from 2001 to 2021, he was vice principal of the secondary school and responsible for various language projects, as well as school counselor and head of the college's quality management system. In addition to these positions, which he still holds, in 2021 he became the contact person for cross-curricular pathways and guidance (PCTO). Since September 1, 2025, he has been Vice-Rector of the San Carlo College for the Secondary School.
don Luca Melchioretto
Vice Rector SP e SS1
Ordained as a priest in 2001, after obtaining his Bachelor's degree in Theology the previous year from the Theological Faculty of Northern Italy, Milan. Formerly vicar of youth ministries in numerous parishes, he was hired at Collegio San Carlo in 2013 as a religion teacher. At the same time, he was parish vicar at the Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio until 2024 and currently at the pastoral community of Sant'Apollinare and Sant'Anselmo di Baggio. Vice Rector since September 2025.
